MORE THAN
A TEAM.
We design, build, compete, and learn—together. Meet the young engineers and mentors powering 4-H ALSET Paladins.
BUILT ON
TEAMWORK.
The 4-H ALSET Paladins are a student-led, mentor-guided, family-supported program grounded in hands-on STEM education and real-world problem solving.
From fundraising to fabrication and race strategy, every challenge is an opportunity for students to develop technical expertise, confidence and leadership.

Our mission
Empower young innovators to design, build, and compete in advanced engineering challenges through hands-on learning, teamwork, and real-world problem solving.
Our vision
A future where every student has the confidence, skills, and curiosity to pursue bold ideas—on the track, in the workshop, and beyond.
THREE SEASONS.
ONE LEGACY.
Strong foundations

EXPERIENCE
MEETS DRIVE.
Dr. Allan Phipps is the team's technical advisor and an award-winning STEM educator. A former Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow at the National Science Foundation, he has spent more than two decades helping students tackle real engineering challenges.
Under his guidance, students have earned national honors in solar car racing and other STEM competitions. He currently works in robotics education and competitions at RoboNation.

A NEW
PARTNERSHIP.
A PROVEN
LEGACY.
For the 2027 season, the team is partnering with South Plantation High School's Everglades Restoration and Environmental Science Magnet Program, reconnecting the school with the Solar Car Challenge.
South Plantation's Solar Knights previously earned two national championship titles. Together, this renewed effort blends an established legacy with a new generation of hands-on innovation.
